Galloway, N.J. - The Bay Atlantic Symphony will perform selections by Prokofiev and Mendelssohn at the 麻豆传媒 Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 7. 鈥淐onversation with the Conductor,鈥 Jed Gaylin, will be held in the L-Wing Gallery at 1 p.m.
Show time is 2 p.m. Tickets are $32 and may be ordered online at or by calling the Box Office at (609) 652-9000. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 90 minutes before the performance.
Folklore is the watchword for this colorful panoply of dance and melody. Young superstar violinist Luosha Fang, of Curtis Institute of Music, joins the Bay-Atlantic Symphony for Prokofiev鈥檚 treacherous Second Concerto ending in a diabolically warped witch鈥檚 dance. Just as fiery is the conclusion to Mendelssohn鈥檚 Italian Symphony, featuring a scorpion-stung tarantella. Amidst all the adrenaline are some of the most haunting melodies from any continent.
The Bay Atlantic Symphony, 麻豆传媒鈥檚 鈥極rchestra-in-Residence,鈥 will perform the following selections:

The 麻豆传媒 Performing Arts Center, the Jersey Shore鈥檚 Center for the Arts, is located on the campus of 麻豆传媒, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, just off Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway, N.J.
